We’ve created something special, just for kids. Our new #alwayschildfocused:kids mini site is a place where children can go to understand what contact visits are, who contact workers are, and even what the family court is. All explained in age-appropriate language that’s designed to make sense.
Sometimes, grown-ups forget how big and confusing all of this can feel.
We haven’t.

From the very first visit, kids want to know what’s going to happen and who they’ll be with.
Our mini site includes short, child-friendly articles that walk children through the visit process, explain what a contact worker does, and offer gentle tips on what to bring, what to expect, and how to feel safe and understood.
We made it because kids deserve to be prepared, not surprised.

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia is a part of many children’s stories - but it shouldn’t be scary.
We’ve included a page that talks about the court in simple, calm language, so kids can get a basic understanding of what it means when mum and dad “go to court” and why that happens.
It’s written to reassure. Not overwhelm.

This isn’t a site about parents. It’s not about services.
It’s a place just for children, made to meet them where they are - curious, cautious, and full of questions. They can explore with a parent, or just read quietly on their own. Either way, it’s a reminder that their experience matters.
We’ll be adding more articles over time. All shaped by what children need to know, and how they need to hear it.
