Over the years I’ve spoken to hundreds of parents at the very beginning of their contact journey. The intake process, the idea of supervised visits, the uncertainty about reports — it can all feel overwhelming.
That’s why we created our podcast. It’s designed especially for parents who are new to contact visits, so they can walk in feeling calmer, more informed, and more focused on their child.

Our podcast is for parents navigating supervised contact visits for the first time. Whether court-ordered or agreed. It’s also for carers and even family law professionals who want to better understand the child’s perspective.

Each episode unpacks a different part of the journey, including:
Welcome to Contact: a gentle introduction to the whole process
The Intake Assessment Interview: what it is, why it matters, and how to prepare.
Child Familiarisation Sessions: how gentle first meetings help children feel safe with their Contact Worker.
The First Visit: what to expect, how the structure works, and how to support your child.
Understanding the Child’s Experience: seeing contact through their eyes.
Your First Visit Report: how to read it and what it reflects.
We also share interest pieces on topics like self-defense, Independent Children’s Lawyers (ICLs), and the role of mediation.

Parents who listen to the #alwayschildfocused podcast arrive at visits with fewer unknowns and less anxiety. That confidence flows through to their children, who sense when mum or dad is calmer and more ready to focus on them.
In short: when parents feel prepared, children feel safe.

The #alwayschildfocused podcast is not just about information - it’s about creating a smoother, gentler start for families. Because every positive visit builds trust, and every step forward helps children feel more secure in their relationships.
