Visit day is a special day - it’s when you get to spend time with one of your parents, with your friendly contact worker there to help everything go smoothly.
Here’s how it works:
First, the parent you live with will go with you to your special meeting point. That’s the place where your contact worker will meet you.
Your contact worker will say hello and help you feel ready for the visit ahead.
Then, you’ll go together to meet the parent you’re having your visit with. That might be at a park, a playground, or another quiet spot where you can talk, play, or just hang out. Your contact worker will stay right with you the whole time to make sure everything feels safe, calm, and comfortable.
When your visit is finished, your contact worker will walk back with you to the parent you live with, so you can head home feeling safe and supported.
It’s okay to feel lots of different things on visit day — excited, nervous, happy, or even a little unsure. Sometimes feelings can be all mixed up at once, and that’s totally normal.
Your contact worker understands. They go to a lot of visits and they’re really good at helping kids feel safe and settled. You can tell them how you're feeling, ask questions, or just sit quietly if that’s what you need.
They’re there just for you. To listen, to help, and to make sure your visit goes at your pace. There’s no right or wrong way to feel.
Just bring yourself. That’s always enough.
And if you'd like to take some thing with you on the visit you can click..... right.........
