I'm looking forward to meeting you shortly at our Child Familiarisation Session.
In the meantime, I wanted to show you my very special Holding Hands ID Card so you can recognise me when we meet for the first time.
I also wanted to share a few things about me which you can read or your parent can read to you:

I have a pet dog called Maya
My favourite colour is pink
My favourite food is Italian or Thai food... and CHOCOLATE!
My favourite smell is candles that smell like vanilla or caramel
My favourite season is Summer - so that I can swim in the ocean or river
My hobbies are bushwalking and hiking and watching all sports
Something interesting about me that I want to share with you is that I am terrified of mice - I almost cry whenever I see one.

Child Familiarisation Sessions - Why do we do them?
Child Familiarisation Sessions are an important part of the intake process at Holding Hands and should form a part of children's contact visits. These sessions are the first time your child and the parent they live with have to meet your allocated contact worker. This opportunity to start building trust often decreases any anxiety a child has in the lead up to their first contact visit - which we think all parents would agree is incredibly important.

Parents who have completed their intake assessments and have a child familiarisation session scheduled with Holding Hands are strongly recommended to listen to this podcast
