HHID - Debbie.jpg

That's me!

Hi.. I'm Debbie!

I'm looking forward to meeting you shortly at our Child Familiarisation Session

In the meantime, I wanted to show you my very special
Holding  Hands ID Card so you can recognise me when we meet for the first time.

I also wanted to share a few things about me which you can read or your parent can read to you:

My nickname is Deb

I have a pet Siamese fighting fish

My favourite colour is pink

My favourite food is dessert

My favourite smell is jasmine

My favourite season is spring

My hobbies are photography, gardening and exploring local historic buildings.

Something interesting about me that I want to share with you is that I was born and raised in a small country town.

Well... that's it from me. I cant wait to meet you!

Child Familiarisation Sessions - Why do we do them?

Child Familiarisation Sessions are an important part of the intake process at Holding Hands and should form a part of children's contact visits. These sessions are the first time your child and the parent they live with have to meet your allocated contact worker. This opportunity to start building trust often decreases any anxiety a child has in the lead up to their first contact visit - which we think all parents would agree is incredibly important.

Join Jakki, Sam and Ben as they discuss this all important pre visit session and the benefits it has for your child as they commence contact visits.

Parents who have completed their intake assessments and have a child familiarisation session scheduled with Holding Hands are strongly recommended to listen to this podcast
